There is no charge for scanning, photographing
and proofing your image, providing you print with us you pay only for your prints!
We are Fine Art photographers and printers, based in Kilsyth, near Glasgow, Stirling, and Falkirk, (and within fairly easy reach of Edinburgh and Dundee), Scotland, and
we specialize in making giclée prints from the original work
of artists and photographers.
Artists seem to fall into two categories. Those who have never printed before, and think they might like to try it, and those who have printed before but may not be entirely happy with their printers. Now, the relationship between the artist and the printer is very important, and we don’t want to get in the way of that. But like marriage, sometimes the relationship just is not working out. In both cases, you should give us a try. If you are a first timer, we will go through all the steps with you. Holding a print of your work for the first time is a little like holding a new baby. Thrilling stuff. If you are someone who has been disappointed by a printer—he or she promised to get your stuff ready by a certain date and then failed, for example—try us out. You will find that to make a deadline we will even stay up all night printing. This just doesn’t happen in the “real world” but it does happen in our world. So try us out!
Our
reputation is based on the artists who have chosen us to make their
prints. We have a huge, and growing, gallery of prints and many things on display here are available in print. We make every print ourselves, and every print must be approved
by the artist.
But
since our main business is printing - we can also make the highest quality prints
from your own images, on fine art paper or canvas. We do restoration too! We have restored hundreds of historic pictures of Scotland, and
even from family archives.
Best of all, when you decide to print with us, you'll find there need be
no upfront costs except for the prints you order.
It
has proved to be very important, for the people we work with, to feel
at home when they visit us. We live here, but this place is much more
than just our home. Please
phone and make an appointment to come and visit us. Everyone loves the
space of our house/atelier/gallery. Coming to see us will give you
a far better sense of what we do, and what we are all about, than looking
